The Japanese knot bags evolved from everyday cloth bags like azuma bukuro. These bags are intentionally designed with asymmetrical handles, the longer handle slips through the shorter one to "knot" and close the bag without the need for zippers or clasps. We chose to recreate this style with soft cotton crochet yarn in earthy colours. 

Small yet sturdy enough to hold personal items.
